We are so busy. Jobs. Homes. Kids. Friends. Family. Pets. Church. Sports. Groceries. Errands. Lawns. Finances. Cleaning. On and on, faster and faster, cram it all in, don't say "no". When I say "we", I know I'm talking about my family. But I'm pretty confident that all or many of these things (and likely more) ring true with many of you as well.
It's so difficult to slow down, refresh, and reenergize when we're at home and in the middle of it all. If you've seen any or all of our social media "stuff", you've likely seen this picture included. It's because, for me, it represents better than anything how I feel when I'm on the island. It is essential for our well-being to do what this picture represents. Walk through the sand and take a seat. Listen to the sounds of the water and the birds. Or maybe the laughter of kids playing in the water. Even though there's noise and sound, it quiets the soul. If even for a little while....
